I have searched the bible and other posts but can't find an answer to my query.
I want to drain the oil from the gearbox and transfer case (MQ SWB L28) and fill it up again. Sounds easy....and probably is once I identify the entry and exit points.
When I look at the gearbox and transfer case I see about 3 of those square ended sockets that look like I can drain the oil from them. Which one do I use?
Which access point do I use to fill it up again and how much oil do I need for the 2?
Thanks in advance

MQ SWB 4 speed gearbox/transfer oil change
Quickest & easiest, find the lowest plug in both the gearbox & transfer, remove it to drain oil refill to level with bottom of fill plug. Transfer drain plug is located on drivers side of case on T130A & fill plug is on passengers side. Both drain & fill are on passengers side on T100L. Refill capacity for T130A is 1.8L and for T100L 1.4L . Gearbox is as follows, F4W81A, both filler & drain are on drivers side, drain is obviously lower of two, Refill capacity is 2.7L. Hope this info helps and I hope your girlfriend likes the smell of gear oil.
92 NH Pajero, MQ Patrol 50mm lift. One has custom rust, dents & rattles, the other has a blown engine.
One thing to do though is remove the filler plugs first. Nothing worse than draining the oil and then finding out the fille plug is siezed and you can't refill the case.

So are you saying that the gearbox and transfer have separate drain and fill holes for both? As in they run the oil separate from each other?
