Diff Carrier

Post by DieselBoy »

My 89 Y60 Safari has the factory LSD in the rear.
I NEED a diff lock in the rear. I have heard that you can not put an automatic diff lock Such as a detroit or easy lokker in an LSD carrier. Others have told me you can.
Any one know for sure what the story is??
At this stage i am looking for a rear open diff carrier. My most likley source will be you fella's in OZ.
Would there be anyone willing to work with me on this one??
All i would need would be help locating one, with the internet these days i reckon i could take the rest from there.
Cheers,
Pete.

They ARB locker use nothing from the original center, other than the crown wheel and pinion.

As to the real answer. Pretty sure the detriot replaces the whole center also jsut bring your crown wheel and pinion to the party. The others I really aint sure about.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
