Hi all does anyone have any info or stories about GU 3.0 Turbo Diesel blowing hoses on the intercooler inlet or outlet. My sister has blown four hoses, 3 intercooler inlet and one intercooler outlet hose on her patrol. The thing is still under warranty and it’s been taken back to Nissan on each occasion and they claim there isn't anything wrong with it. The last time one blew they replaced it with a hose off an excavator that fitted because it was all they had that fitted and now it is bulging too. When the car is put on the computer they claim there is nothing wrong on the engine management computer.
Can anyone help with this problem?
All I can say thank god I bought a Cruiser!
Cheers
Sean

good luck getting a decent answer in here now
Two things to look at are.
1: Fit new air flow meter. (Use only genuine air filters as well)
2: Check variable vanes in turbo to make sure their not sticking.
Of course the dealer should know this allready, but you'll be suprised how many don't keep up with the tech bullitens. (there are some great Nissan techs out there you just got to find one)
Make sure the dealer fixes it under warranty and each time you see the dealer about the problem get something in writing as I know of a client who had exactly the same problem under warranty, a number of different dealers around Brisbane & NSW north coast just kept putting hoses back on etc. until out of warranty then deniend it had ever had a warranty problem as client hadn't recevied any paper work when it was picked up from dealer each time.
