zook body tub - calling droopypete!!
zook body tub - calling droopypete!!
i'd put it in the wanted section, but there isn't one
since i rolled the zook i'm kinda desperate, i need my junk back on the road for work and stuff, but i'm really down on cash cos i don't have regular enough work (ironically, there's work for me this week, but i need a car to do jobs in...)
if ya live in the general newy to sydney areas (or further away if u know a cheap way of transporting) can ya keep an eye out for cheap zooks or bodies for sale? s/top or h/top, not real fussed at the moment, but the less rust the better...
do i have any other options that would be easily legal in NSW? was thinking chop and cage, but something as simple as seatbelt mounts would mean this idea would need to be engineered, something i can't afford.
someone suggested a vitara body, would they fit? would that require engineering cos it's off a different vehicle?
help..........

When greg did the swap it seemed to happen very quick and easy.. but then again he had a whole club helping. Arr the memories! Like pink gaffa tape.
We used a grinder to cut the body, absolutely rooted the panals.

it could have all been cleaned but it wasn't really worth the effort (in my case). Would have really helped using a different thickness of blade.
Sawzall did you use the sawzall

There are two bodies here in Melbourne up for grabs. PM droopypete they're at his house.
You would probably find that a removalist type company would give you the best rate.

SAWZALL wrote:If you put a good days work into it, you could make it look factory. Especially if you went to a wrecker and carefully cut the top edge off the back guards and welded them onto your zuk
Like I said a bit of work but cheap...which is what Stumped is after, I believe
i really like the idea of cut and cage.... but the main problem i can see making it legal, or even look legal. seatbelt mounts is the biggest concern, cos i'm sure that'd have to be engineered, even tho it'd be stronger than the factory crap. it's a daily driver, so i can't have something that's gonna get me pinged when i get RBT'd....
