High Steer - Mercedes Arms

Post by jasonmcc »

Hi I got a price for $75 each for Model 126 steering arms. I have searched the topic but couldnt understand it completely. Do I need one or two steering arms. Is it that you only need 1 if you want cross-over steering but two if you want high steer?

Thanks

Jason

you already have crossover steering

1 will move your drag link higher (you need to mod your drag link end)
2 will move your tie rod higher (need new tie rod and modded drag link)

haggle harder. i got one for $20 but i have no idea where it is now since i didn't install it.

To run merc arms for X-over steer, you need the LHS arm.

just finished doing this last week you will need to rheem out about .5mm to make the bolt holes line up i already had a zlink which was cut to the new length sleeved and welded. $75 each is a bit steep as i picked mine up in Canberra for $40 for the pair
5" lift front locked looking for bigger tyres

I bought some merc arms today. I'm going to only do the single sided crossover, but I bought both cos they were only $40 all up, including a tie rod end, and I might go hi-steer later.

I haven't actually installed them yet, but after having a quick look, I'm sure you need the right one not the left if you're only doing crossover steering.
