Wrangler Road Noise and anything else!

Post by mu-stu »

Hi guys,
Just thought I'd drop across from the Rover forum to ask a quesiton on behalf of my brother......
He's interested in getting second hand Wrangler and was concerned about road noise on higways, etc.
How do you guys find them??
Any issue he should look for when buying?
Thanks for you help.

Road noise? Well you don't buy a wrangler because they are quiet, you buy one because they are fun cruising machines that do well offroad too.

I don't find my wrangler too noisy on the road, and i'm running Baja Claws. Yes with the soft top on it does flap a little in the wind but like i said, a little bit of noise is worth it.

if noise is an instant concern then it may not be the right vehicle. seriously, take one for a drive and sort out where your particular tollerance is.
what to look for ehen buying? this is when i suggest searching ausjeepoffroad.com as it has been mentioned a fair bit over there.

Noise was one of the reasons I searched for a hard top with full doors.....was grateful as I picked it up in Sydney, so my first drive was 700ks.

Within 3 days, it was fitted with 33" MT/Rs.........what noise?
