replacement overflow tank

Post by 92shorty »

Have hit the radiator overflow tank with pressure washer and blown a hole in it. What,s my best option for replacement, wreckers or another model vehicle, as I've heard the factory models aren't the best plastic.

Do they need to be able to hold much pressure.

Great idea, but the hole I have blown into it is on the corner and about four inches across - sounds like I am up for a new one - don't tell the missus though.

cheers George

I made one from a piece of 4" stainless tube, welded in some ends & a 25mm bsp toe nipple for filler (the original cap fits perfect). Then a bit of stainless angle to bolt to the inner guard. The second battery still fits and it will never crack or melt.
If anyone wants pics just drop me a line.
