I decided to check the interior fan relay pack this morning. Less than 5 minutes and using only *one* screwdriver and there it was
Ditto for everything else I've done on the vehicle so far. Screw heads are exposed and easy to get to, clips/other fasteners are obvious and easy to get to/remove. None of these bizarrely designed, concealed clips that break while you're trying to remove them, or never go back in the same way they came out.
I'm sure this comes as no surprise to those of you who have always owned vehicles of this genre, but having owned a WRX recently (under the bonnet of which is a totally crazy spaghetti jumble of odd looking wiring/cabling/tubing/whatever else), I'm glad I've now got something that I can actually identify the parts under the bonnet of without an engineering/electrical degree!
