Hehe... I have had my starter rebuilt three times now, working next door to an auto electricians gets me it done for free, or a case, depends who's on...

Squeaky clutch from too much water...

Sucked water out of the drivers footwell after sitting the car in a boghole for four hours till Birlo came and dragged my sorry ass out....

Dunked it in the famous boghole at newnes, next day got a quote on a new motor... no water ingress but somehow did the crank...

Repacked my wheel bearings about four times cos of water ingress...

Always drying out lights and reflectors...
On boooooost!!

i am guessing i was in the famous boghole out at newnes as i was around that area heading back from glowworm tunnels
so it is a common thing to get water into everything in rocky
i was going to put a snorkel on it but now i think it may not be wise as i would be more inclined to go into deep water and have the problem all over again

in any rig, water will get into anything.. they're not made to be water tight straight off the factory line you know? you gotta do that yourself! do a search on sealing up a rig for water. it'll tell you how to water proof ur bearings, dizzy, starter, etc etc etc.
