Spectators are welcome on SUNDAY only May 1st for the mud run from 0930 to 1500.

Location is Honneckers Road, Buln Buln.
Princes Highway to Nilma Interchange, turn north onto Bloomfield Rd, up to Old Sale Road and turn right (east). Honneckers Road on the left.

where is the closest servo to the event that sells gas??

That would prolly be Warrugal, I think they have a 24 hour servo in town.

Just sitting here at home listening to all those Simes and MTR's rolling past on thier way to GoDown.
FYI. There are two 24hr servos in town and the Supermarkets open late as well. Come in and enjoy!

Oh no all bad at this end the Husband took the daughters CR80 for a spin while I was packing and has broken his leg!!!

Surgery sun morning........ there goes the mud run! We should still make it for a catch up tommorrow.

what a bloody top weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! few rollovers and the mud run was good one hard spot towards the end photos tomorrow

What a hooot of a weekend but the mud from the mud run welllllll i left 3 barrow loads at the local car lovers and that was the outside and the wheel arches i ran out of $$$$$$ for the chassis as the mud is being held together with long strands af soft stringgy swamp grass and needs to dry and be picked off.

Mud i hate that sh$%t but l realy enjoyed the go down another good weekend here thanks to all those that put in to put it on for all of us good effort hope all where well behaved so you can do it again as i will be there 4 sure :armsup: :armsup:

Got home at 9.00pm absolutely knackered. :sleeping:
Had a good day sat and tried out some winch challange tracks. :D
Got woken up at 3am, 4am and 6am by some bloke spewin by the fire :roll:
As for the mud run, could have, would have, SHOULD HAVE :cry: :cry:
Or as someone said "to finish first, first you must finish"
Lucky they didn't have the microphone in my car :bad-words:
Hopefully the mud will dry and fall off itself :neutral:

FRIDAY
Left home at 5 o clock to quickly pop down the street and pick up some supplies and meet up with my uncle who was taking me and my dad. Got the supplies and started to make our way to the rendezvous point when we get stuck in a minni traffic jam. Shaun my uncle is causing it trying to reverse his patrol out. Finally we met up with him and we left. It was a 10 minute drive out to the go down site where we pick out a spot to camp and set up. After the setting up was done we moved over to the fire. I went over to the gate to see what trips where running and who was arriving. I noticed that my uncle was tail end Charlie for a medium hard trip. Slowly more and more rigs arrived. Some quite impressive. Finally all mates had arrived and we stayed at the front gate for most of the night, looking at the fine pieces of machinery that where arriving. We made our way back over to a fire and crashed there for the night.

Saturday
Woke up at around 8 am and had breaky. Got the patrol ready for the trip in store today. Our trip left at about 9:30 with a mixture of patrols range rovers tritons and land cruises. The first track that we did was nothing to hard it was a unnamed track that linked around onto Mizpah Settlement road. , we did not have to put the car into 4wd. After we completed that track we followed Mizpah Settlement road onto Fence Line track. This track was not to hard the way that we went (down hill) but coming back up, left or right would defiantly require a winch in the went. (including the chicken track). We got to the top and decided not to go down January hill because of the bog hole that awaits at the bottom and we turned off and followed another track which brought us to a little camping ground where we found some hunters who had bagged a deer. We then followed beards road up to the Hard Up Haul track and this was our first challenge. A few cars struggled on the first little greasy hill. The around the corner was a quite rutted out hill. Everyone went very well up this section except for the triton who fell into the rut and came close to rolling. From here we linked back on Latrobe River Road and went to Hawthorn bridge for lunch. Whilst we were here. Some of the other trip members had a go at some one of the bog holes that was there. It was quite deep to the left with an 80 series getting stuck quite a few times before if finally go through. Then some of us walked across the bridge. It is Closed to cars at the moment. Just before we were going to leave another trip came and went up dunny block track. That was the track that we were just about to go up but we decided to let them go ahead a little while and while we waited, some more of us played in the bog hole. We had a little play on an embankment trying to see how much flex my uncles GQ had. The results where quite impressive. Then we finally went up Dunny Block track. This track had three options with straight being the hardest. Most of the other cars went left or right but we decided to have a play and went up the middle. In some section the ruts were quite deep. We made it up quite easily but in the wet this track could become quite difficult. We followed Dunny block track back to Latrobe river road and we followed it around to spike track. Rumour was that a car had rolled here earlier in the car. We got to spike track and saw how it could be quite easy for a car to roll coming out of the bog hole. We were lucky though and we had to drop into the hole with an easy climb out. If you went to the right it was quite an easy track. All the cars made it through quite easily. We followed Spike track, and ran into Shane’s trip with a lot of the ONTRACK members. They said that they where going to do Spike track the other way with the climb out. We followed spike, but some how the other trip was nearly in front of us, even after driving the other way. We slowly made our way to patrol road but first there was a tiny creek crossing which needed a little bit of log placement to help the triton through. After we got on to Patrol road, we where going to go do TJ hill but we decide to go and have a look at Young’s Track With quite a crazy extion bit. When we got there. We were just in time to see Tom drive young’s. This was quite a good moment because a few years ago he rolled on this track. Our group decided to just do the chicken track and then head home. But the triton got stuck, and Shaun and I decided that it may be fun to go and have a go at the rock face. We got a little stuck in the first hole but after some rock packing and some flare ripping action we continued up and tried to drive the rock, but with the girls in the car we decided that we should leave it for another day. We had a very good crack at, for a patrol with 32s and no lockers to get onto the rock is a great effort, considering a competion truck rolled here earlier that day. After bouncing on the rock and what sounded like a lot of carnage underneath we decided that we would reverse down and just do the other way. After this track we went home back to came for a night of interclub activities, a bon fire and quite a lot of beer drinking.

Sunday

Today was the mud run. The track was different to last year, it included a figure 8. A lot of people where getting stuck, so quite a large number of cars decided not to do it lots of people broke thing including Neil although it was his wife. Ozjeeper has the clip. After this we went back for the presentation ceremony where it was announced that Sandy Bowman had won over all.
