My Storage System

Post by stuee »

Over Sunday I finally built my storage system (most of it). It still needs the rest of the top finished and then covered in marine carpet and one day I might even paint it  . The sheeting used it 16mm particle board. Don't know why I used this but it seems good so far. The supports are all pine.

The bottom left hand section is for the handwinch which will be packed in woth tarps, rags etc. The righthand section hold the recovery bag(snatch strap, shackles ect), while the top encolsed section olds the air compressor, tool box, random stoage box and still enough space for spar oils etc.

It was actually quite easy to make, you just have to be very carful mesuring up. This system fits perfectly between the cargo barrier and strip thingy across the rear which is enough to hold it in place but even so we cable tied it to the cargo barrier as well. Total cost for materials was about $120. Much cheaper than getting one built.

Thought some of you may be interested. I Will post up completed pictures when its completely finished.

Cheers Stuart
