Holley Details?

Post by halminator »

Can anyone tell me how to identify a Holley? Have one mounted on a fj40 2f but wouldn't have a clue how to identify what type, cfm, etc?

Will be pulling this off next weekend to give me access to mount up some extractors, so I want to make sure gaskets already bought before I start.

Have posted a couple of pics in case it looks familar to anyone?

If you take the air cleaner off , there is a rectangular section that rises up into the air cleaner area , This should have a list number part number stamped into it , The number is whats required for bit im pretty sure .

Its either a 350cfm or a 500cfm by the exterior , the difference between the two being the diameter of the venturi's .

Don't quote me on this but if i remember the 500 is around 40mm per butterfly . and 350 is smaller of course

Anyone ?

Yep, what he said :D, more than likely a 350 which is fairly commonconversion for engines from 3-4.5 litres,if it was a 500 it woulds probably be runnine rich unless it had smaller jets in it which defeat the purpose.

Mind you I saw a 202 red motor with a 750 double pumper on it once but it has a cam grind you couldnt walk over & went like a scalded cat
Don't ask me, ask them. I'm just runnin for my life myself.
Well they are all following you...
No they ain't, I'm just in front...............

Wow, where are the chicks!
When you fit extractors, make sure your thermostat is working, as you lose you inlet manifold preheat .

Hi,
I ran the list number at work, it is off a 1972 304cui international harvester, because is OE it was never given a CFM rating possible a 500cfm given the capacity. i just measured a 350 holley base and it was 38mm approx.
