You can do this by having your old springs reset ($60 per spring roughly), buying a set of 2 inch lifted springs ($1000 for whole kit) or getting a 2 inch body lift (about $250).
Extractors and new exhaust will get you a bit more top end power, but the way to go if you have the cash is turbo.
I have an 85 HJ60 with aftermarket turbo and have spent about 4k all up on getting turbo and front mount intercooler fitted and i run 35's with no effort.
I take it that you run hardened pistons, and have re-built the motor?
The many people I have spoken to said that turbo charging a 2H is the fastest way to kill it, and the 12H-T is the way to go if you can find a decent one.
No, i havent rebuilt the donk. It is running standard pistons. Its been turboed for 18 months. Hasn't missed a beat. Got the big end bearings changed last week as a precaution. Doesn't use oil between 5000km services, and doesn't use coolant either.
The secret for setting up the turbo properly is setting the right fuel mixtures. Sure, you can overfuel them to the buggery, and you WILL melt pistons, but get a lot of power before doing so.
Intercooler also plays a big part. Cooling the inlet air helps reduce some of the thermal stress on the motor, and also increases HP. I am currently running 12-13psi of boost (which is heaps), but have a large front mount intercooler which reduces the inlet air temperature pretty much back to ambient air temps.
The temperature gauge sits just on a quarter the whole time except when you are flogging it. Highest I have seen it get is just over half way.
Exhaust temps haven't gone over 480 degrees, which suggest we could give it more fuel if we like. But seeing as though i am happy with its performance and reliability, I'll leave it as is. Piston skirt cooling would also be great.
A 12h-t is definately the way to go if you have the money. But a good one will set you back probably 7k or so. For that money, i could destroy 2 2h's and still have change.
