Hi guy's I have just replaced a 4.2 petrol with a 4.2 diesel motor in front of the original auto trans. Since the conversion the auto does not shift properly and doesn't go into lock up. I need a diesel auto wiring diagram to trace the wires from the TPS to the computer. If anyone has any other idea's that could help me it would be appreciated.
Thanks Adrian.

wiring is the same as petrol but work on different voltages
which may affect you i doubt if the tps switch has anything to do with this the tps switch affects how long it stays in gear the lock up is affected by the revolution switch
what you need to find out is the thing that counts the rpm on the engine, if it needs 24v to work properly this is if the engine used a 24v system to begin with
are the revs reading properly in vehicle?
also does it lock up at all as in for about 8 sec then drop out?
which tps switch have you used the one from the diesel engine or the petrol engine you need to find out if they have the same part no. you may need to use a petrol one

I have used the diesel TPS and yes it does go into lock up for approx 8 sec. Since looking into this problem I have noticed that out of the TPS there are six wires but only three are connected to the computer. The three wires for the throttle valve switch are not connected and the engine rev sensor is not connected as well so I am guessing that this could be my problem.

could well be mate
although check if the tps switch is same as the petrol one cause if the tps is a 24v version and not 12v you might run into a few problems with that as well
some reason the pics aren't working for me i have a diagram if you want me to e-mail it to you
