the lift would be but then you have to figure out what size lift to what size tyre you need

decent tyres will get you alot of places too,you need to answer a few questions tho like

what rig is it ?

whats the rigs purpose ? ie touring or rock hoppin or a combo of both?

whats the budget ?

is it a daily driver ,comp truck or weekend warrior?

I second all of the above.

I went tyres because "Lift Kit" isn't specific enough - and it doesn't matter how much clearance you have if your tyres don't grip.

YMMV

They relate to each other.
Reasons for doing lift include three things,
1) Increased ground clearance
2) Increased articulation
3) To enable to fitting of larger tyres

Therefore when deciding what size lift you need to decide what size tyres you plan on running to ensure you dont do the lift, fit the tyres later only to realise the tyres scrub so much that you need a lot more lift and have to fork out again.

Look at members photos from this site with your truck and mods and decide what you like.

need lift to fit tyres without scrub.

go the lift to see the biggest set of tyres u can fit withou scrubbing...

no use getting 33's, the doing the lift and then deciding u can fit 35's.....

As before depends on the truck.

IFS lux, do both, lifting IFS cost bugger all, turn up the torsion bar and get longer shakles or reset springs, not too costly when you compare descent tyres.
