Hi all,
I am looking to buy a Sierra towards the end of this year. I have done a fair bit of searching in the Zook forum and got a fair idea of what I want to start with. However I don't really know how much a Sierra costs. I've looked in the trading post and other places and come up with anything from $3k to $10k
So how much do you guys think I'll be able to pick up a late 80's to mid 90's Sierra wt hardtop?
I was intending to lift suspension about 2in with 2in body to fit my 31in MT/Rs (already have the MT/Rs) on whatever rims I will need to do so.
Keep stock diffs etc for now while fitting either S1 or S2 Rockhoppers. I don't know much about the standard gearing yet so not sure which. Diff locks of some kind too.
I originally thought of getting a coily but all the aftermarket seems to cater for the leaf sprung models. Although I guess you know that already
Is anyone selling or just sold a Sierra recently? How much for and what did it have done to it?
This won't be a daily driver however I would like to keep it kinda legal. Which means no SOA as I'm a Qlder. Unless I could buy a SOA vehicle from NSW and then register it in Qld. I'll have to suss that out.
It will be good to be able to drive all the tracks my club does and not have to take the chicken tracks.
Thanks all.

I have 30" MTRs with only about 1 inch of lift and a bit of hammer work.
Paul.
I thought you would need more going from ~26 to 31. Always happy to be corrected.
I would be very happy to get a deal like that
This one looks good. But not looking to buy for another 6 months or so.

You'd be surprised what tyres you can fit on a stock sierra. I think like a 215 or 225/75 is the biggest you can fit without touching anything. I've 235/75 on mine and with a bit of angle grinder work it's no problem. The problem is your front bumper mount. You take that off and you can go some BIG tyres for your stockie. Reasonably big, probly not 31" but 30" quite possibly.

Just finished fitting Cooper STT's in a 31 to a LWB.

I'm keen to see what the STT's look like & handle on the zook... Do you know how much they cost? Got any pics ? Sorry for the thread hi-jack!!
