Great course, but those concrete filled tyres are truck breaking and bending and may need some work ,just remove the first one and cars should make it in one go and not do major damage, starting order needs to be set before hand and get competitors to know what they have to do and the speed of the recoveries was good and all up really great. WELL DONE GRAIG and his TEAM takes a lot of work to do that. Hope to be back for round 3 with a new toy to destroy!!!!

I thought the course was pretty good, drivable with care and damaging with no care
seemed just about right.
if you wanted to shorten the time you could just leave out the gully as the spectators couldn't see it anyway.

from a personal view i would like to see it go clockwise so i can see over the bonnet

A thankyou must go out to all officials and sponsors of this event. No doubt it isn't cheap to set up a manmade course like you have. Good on the sponsors for getting behind the event and to Superior Alignments for following it through to create a fun and unique competiton.

I'm certainly looking forward to next round. I hope to be making some changes to my vehicle to get it to perform at speed a little better as this fast stuff is all new to me. It certainly is fun but the damage is high and occurs with little warning. And with the prize money on offer - it makes it difficult to stay away. Even with WEROCK the week after, we'll still be there next round.

With regards to feedback on the competition:

I beilieve the courses were too difficult for the Modified class. This is obvious by the amount of DNFs within this class. The reality is that there are very few vehicles that are set up to drive this sort of terrain with 35" tyres and 2" lift. Even if they are set up to drive the terrain, completing the course when against the clock opens up a heap of variables. At the moment, to win, you only need to finish the course. I simply cannot see enough support for this class as few "comp" cars meet the specs.

I think it's downright stupidity to promote navigators/spotters riding in vehicle. When speed and difficult terrain is involved, the likelyhood of personal injury is high. Why have the extra risk of having a passenger in the vehicle? Keep it to drivers only. Start and stop the course with drivers outside the vehicle as the jumping in and out at the start and finish is silly and serves no purpose other than to encourage spotters to stay in the vehicles thus saving time and endangering themselves. The crowd are there to see the vehicles driving, not a spotter fumbing his seatbelt. As witnessed in this first round, rollovers do happen and it's best to limit the risks as much as possible.
