what was that show on the ABC that aired for a while which had the Aborigional blokes going around australia in beat up old falcons and shit, and when it broke down the had to booty fab repair it to keep going? i remember once they blew the rear diff or something like that so the fabbed up some skis for the rear. cracker funny. not unlike this winch actually. :D

Yeah you could change the centre depending on the speed/power required and put on some big handle then start spinning. :roll:

if the other side still had a brake caliper that might hold the position??? :shock:
(edit) Just zoomed in and realised it has a braking facility!!!!! :rofl:

funny idea but i guess in a serious situation it might actually work.

its pretty rusty, and it has a homemade canopy on the back made out of old fence sheets...lol..but the owner wouldnt sell it anyways, it was left to him in a very good friend's will....
