I know that roller fairleads are ok for both wire and plasma ropes. I need to know if the one piece hawse style fairleads be used with wire?

errrr not quite right.....
Roller fairleads are NOT ideal when running rope. for rope I would go billet alloy Hawse every time.
Then with the Hawse - it depends on the material. a Cast iron or steel hawse will not disperse the heat correctly for rope , but is fine with wire.
Conversely Billet alloy is great for rope - but cab;e will chew it out in next to no time.
Hope that helps ya....
