Don't know about the engineers report but I would guess no as you will have to get a blue slip instead of pink. After all, we do reside in the extraction state (extract every cent they can).

Don't know but in VIC you need too. I was talking to an Engineer who was re-engineering vehicles coming from NSW to VIC. Some Engineers are qualified to engineer vehicles in more than one state so you might want to talk to the original engineer and see if he can do the paperwork to suit.

ring the actual authourities and find out to make sure before you do anything. As much as this board is a great source of info you would hate to to do this and find out contrary to what you found here

pretty sure that you will need a report, 'cause of different rules & regulations between the states
it's never a problem until it can't be fixed, even then it' only a minor set back

ring the authorities and double check, but evwn if you have to get it re engineered in NSW the QLD rules are alot harder than ours at the moment, so there shouldnt be many dramas,

engineers reoprt

Post by Darren Cooper »

Mate i have just gone through the process of getting a quensland registered car, and changing it to nsw. The car came with and engineers report from a queensland engineer. But when i went to the rta and showed them the report i was told it was not good enough and it was not set out in the right format for nsw. The report was written by an auto engineer with 29 years experience, and the rta inspetor just said no, so $330 later and a inspection of my jeep i now have a nsw engineers report, hope this helps and feel free to ask some more questions.
