hi all
im a bit of a dumb ass when it comes to rang rovers
just a quick couple of questions because the search isnt working for me :oops:

Q1 were all rang rover's coil if not wen did they become coil
Q2 are rang rovers pretty capable with say 2 inche lift and a set of A/T's

any help would be great

Q1. Always had coils, then the later ones had air suspension. Not sure what the dates are though.
Q2. Depends on how you define capable. They are good though with just suspension for something unlocked. Thats until they break a diff or axle. 2" works well and Haultech slotted bushes in the front radius arms make them even better.

i think that the 1990 model had airbag suspension, but its easy to bang in coils on those apparently until 1993. then the shape changed and its a nightmare to change from airbag to coils.

Most capable vehicle you can get with just the above mods. Axles wont be a worry unless you go big with the rubber or really hard with the loud pedal.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

i agree with above - very capable vehicle. Benefit is they have a shortish wheel base, especially compared to Patrol/Cruiser, yet you can get 4doors still.
I would go as far to say more capable than patrols/cruisers in standard form.
