Riddle me this? Brakes?

Post by zerosin »

Ok last resort here...I just put 3" longer than standard shackles in the rear of me lux and the brake pedals gone hard and wont stop me..take them out and everythings fine...back end is pretty sagged so the shackles bring me up to standard height almost...All i can figure is maybe somethin 2 do with the load sensing proportioning valve...but how?

Any ideas appreciated
thanx

Yes you are right!

You will need to modify the point where the Load proportioning valve attaches to the Diff!!

Also what does the hand brake do, does it still work the same?

hand brake works fine but modifying the where the lspv attaches?? i figured that cause im back to standard height it would be more at the factory setting than when sagged out??

Possibly also the flexible brake hose from chassis to rear axle is at max length, and possible pulled at right angles down toward axle. This may block the hose off, not allowing fluid through.

take off the spring [if its got one like a nissan ] and try it, that may eliminate that possibility.
