Well it was all my fault actually...

Front diff is not locked, and rear is LSD.

Snapped Rear Axle Studs in the first 100 metres, and went fork it, pull axle out and see how i go in Front wheel drive...

Reversing up hills and so on...

Eventually, the Front just let go...

All fixed now, although couple of small leaks on rear, just need to fit some rear shackles (and modify leaf springs) before i go out again...

am thinky of doing a v6 commodore conversion though or even a ford efi 6 for better fuel encomy and a little more power as it has the 3f motor in it and all it does is drink juice and go know where.

I'd have seen a heap of Commodore engines done, but none (in person) of the ford engines...

Do you like revs, does one rev better than the other?
What would be better for parts and availability?
What would be better power, torque and economy wise?
What is the pricing like for all of the required parts?

Just some things to take into consideration...

Alright, haven't done it yet, but would really like to...
Gearbox- Adaptors can be bought, or a 100 Series V8 Gearbox will fit.
Engine mounts - Easier have new ones made up, yet keeping the 1UZ ones in place as they are cool.
Drive shafts - Not if keeping original box and using an adaptor, it still lines up. If changing to 100 Series Box, not sure...

Let me know what else you might need to know - OR...

If your close by, come out on the Middy day and we can all chat then about Middies...

Ok things in the Tech Sections are getting out of hand. There are too many threads with no Tech and too many replies with no Tech. There are also too many threads in the wrong Tech Sections.

So these are the new Rules for all of the Tech Sections.

1; Specific Make Sections are for Specific Make Tech Questions. Dont ask a question about putting a V8 in a Patrol in the General Tech Section. Ask it in the Nissan Section. As you dont ask should i buy MTRs or TSLs in the Nissan section, Ask this in General Tech.

2; No Chit Chat in the Tech Sections at all. Any Threads or replies that do not contain Tech or Questions reguarding Tech will be deleted. Not Moved they will be Deleted. Dont test the Moderators on this rule or you will risk being Banned from this site. If you reply and you are not adding to the Tech then your reply can and most likely will be removed.

3; I Rolled my ****** yesterday isnt Tech.

4; We went wheeling yesterday........ isnt Tech.

5;How good was Woodpecker/XRCC/PUOSU isnt Tech there is a Comps section for this.

6; There is a chit chat section to discuss what you did on the weekend.

Lastly yes i know a lot of us have been guilty of the above things in the past but things need to change. There are people that rarely use this site any more soley because the Tech sections are full of Junk. I am asking you all to help and try and clean this place up before it gets too far out of hand.
