What a shit spono package, after the event you give the tyre's back so they can sell them, you would think that if you went in the A grade events and were promoting their products, you would at least get to keep the products that they give you..
BETTR THAN NOTHING plus they are always sponoring events so we have events to go i. remember evey litle bit helps .and the idea of them spreading their $$$$$$ to alot of different people is better that say only 1 person getting the hole lot. I SAY GOOD ON THEM !

Why? Most people would be happy with tires for $fukall
you would use new tires every event anyway, so whats the issue? You are obviously not a competitors rectum sweat are you?

It might be worth finding out if the package is also available through Pro-comp outlets in other states....
My theory is any dollar saved from my pocket is a bonus.... so what if the tyres have to be returned after an event, It would beat me having to pay out $2,000 on tyres

Jason
I have sent an email asking about this, as good fresh rubber is very usefull, aspecially when a decent tyre aint cheap.
I any one has an issue with it not being enough, then maybe they should try competing, and then they would know any $ saved is gold....big and I hope they will be interested in offering it to us NSW blokes
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!
they are only offering the free rubber to two teams that get the top deal the rest get either 10% or 5% which is a pretty small discount for running some stickers

sounds like a good marketing idea to me,
and the amount of people that buy second hand tyres and things of this forum amounts to a nice niche in the market that they will gain good profits and exposer as they would sell the used tyres at cost price and saving money on promation
think of is as if the anoucer say the white patrol wins
wonder if you staked a tire would you be up for it at retail price..
decent kit anyway. good to see some companies supporting people in one of the expensive areas of competing... if i bought some swampers they'd be worth more than my truck. not that i compete.
i wonder whos responsibility it is to return the items.. eg... say.. the nearest dealer is 100 kms away.. and you've been granted sponsorship.. the event is over.. you're at home..
does that mean you have to take each tyre off the rim/wheel and drive 100kms to drop it off?? or do they as a sponsor pick it up via courier etc?

There are company's out there willing to sponser competitors and we should back them as much as they back us .

As vendors Matt & I sponsor several trucks & I can say marketing is important but it is not the only reason for offering sponsorship packages. It helps with reasearch and development, lessens the financial burden for competitors and more than anything you are helping to grow the sport.
Just to paint a vendors view something which is not often understood until your in the business, many of us arent flush with money or in business to make millions, frankly every dollar counts so when we offer sponsorship packages it means money off our own plate. So I would encourage people to support these businesses as it is healthy for the sport and industry as a whole.
