hey,
any chance someone could get a photo of their sierra for me.
i need a shot looking from behind the transfer case towards the front of the car. i need to make up some sort of a t/case crossmember and the original mounts are bent to shit as well as the car being 100km away. so i just want to be able to build it all on the bench, then take it to the car and weld it in.
it would be really nice if you could take the photo with a straight edge sitting across the bottom of the chasis rails so i can see where it is meant to sit.
a measurement between the faces of the chassis rails would be nice too.
this is for the ex-overkill buggy.

mines a 1.0 litre LWB chassis with t- case position modified to sit higher and back a bit from standard, using sierra rubber engine mounts and standard 1.0 litre t-case arms.

one thing i forgot. can i get a height off the ground to the input flange centre, output flange centres and bottom of the chassis rails. that way i can mock it up exactly as it should be.

height off ground is gonna vary heaps isn't it, with tyre size and suspension setup?

I'm not at home, so can't measure up, yet..but the most important thing is the angle of the flanges should match the angle of the diff flanges, ie both in same plane. Otherwise vibrations may result. Tho in a comp car, don't think it would matter much. With mods this often changes a tad.
This will keep tailshafts and unis happy.
Most drive lines are round 4* off vertical, from motor right thru to diffs,
I think.
I hope that makes sense.

what else do ya need?
Not different measurements, but more of the same would be helpful That way we can be more accurate with the fab work.
So basically, measurements from ground to:
a. input flange centre
b. output flange centre
c. chassis rail bottom (level with input flange)
d. chassis rail bottom (level with output flange)
Also, a measurement between the faces of the chassis rails would be nice too (both at input and output shaft)
Pics would be good too, if you can
