chopped MQ

Post by Rosey55 »

Hi Guys,

many people done the SWB mq/MK chop. I'm so keen to do it. Here's some pics of one I saw at this years tuff truck, he wasn't competing although I did see him eat up one mud run.

The chop is pretty bodgy, just the way I like it... not to sure about the tray, i recon I could do better... the 44's top the truck off and I believe make it worthy of entering the tuff truck.

enjoy

Are the rear leaf springs of this beast turned, the short part of the spring to the rear and the longer part of the spring to the front of the vehicle?
How is the rest of the truck, engine, axles,...?

This rig i believe if i was looking properly, does have flipped rear leaves.

It also runs a 253 V8 i think, and runs 4 or 5 speed manuel standard box, cant remember which, it also has MQ diffs still that are twin locked.
it runs reverse shackle setup in the front as well.....
The way he did it was massively simple but wont work as well as anything thats done properly with mounts and dropped crossmember etc......

screwy
