Roza's clutch is in need of replacing again :( . Less than 40000k's and was never strong, slipped on the 2nd day after fitting when Murray took me to Stockton beach.
Can anyone give me the pro's and con's of ceramic or brass button clutch's . Is there a heavy duty clutch available
The kit was from Repco at approx $200.oo.
Cheap and ended up nasty.
Thanks.

clutch
Leon,
I had a ceramic clutch in my old feroza for approx 8 months and it never slipped. You could ride it but takes a little more control than the standard clutch but when you take it off it grabs, so you have to keep the rev's up or you'll stall it. As for climbing rock's off roading etc it was great. On road you just got used to taking it more carfully or you'll be leaving cherpy's.
Shane Canillis now has the clutch now and as far as I'm aware its still going ok. Previously I had gone through 2 clutches in approx 10 months - mainly due to where I was driving - but it gives you an idea of how long they last.
There is a guy down the road from my place how makes them, I can get you a price if you want. Also how did you go with the idler arm bushes? Let me know if you need some as I'll be down in sydney on the 17th and again the following weekend.
Cheers

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the info. Will make a decision re the clutch soon.
Been trying to purchase a set of idler arm bushs from that mob in Brisbane but all I can get out of them via e-mail is the part number.
I want to go bush on the 17th so would it be possible for you to purchase the bushs and post them to me. I could do an internet transfer to you account to cover the cost and postage?

Daiken Clutch
Hi,
Mark I've managed to order the idler arm bush's from Brisbane and should have them by Wednesday next week.
Anyone have any experience with Daiken Heavy Duty clutch's .
Not to keen to have a snap action clutch pedel as I have to do a fair bit of city driving :( . Not going to fit another Repco kit.
