thoughts on this ifs hub conversion

what are ppls thoughts on this,

ifs hubs , fj40 vented rotors and calipers mounted on the other side of the monting tabs

the idea looks like it would work but dunno bout getting something like this engineered

I remember seeing that before on a differant set up on pirate on a buggy and it wasn`t strong enough and the caliper broke at the bolts

this will work BUT you have to do some mods it is not a straight bolt on swap.
The caliper has to have 2mm milled of the new mounting face
The caliper also has to be drilled and taped to take a boltof around 14mm or 9/16th which is easy to come buy.
Plus the swivel hub caliper mounting holes will have to be drilled out to suit the new bolt size.
IMO i recken that it will work good on a buggy but unsure about road use and engineering. have seen much worse mods on cars and trucks

There a differant size and diferant bolt pattern for the SA front

well i was about to do this i figured its just a matter of bolting on, thats what ive been led to believe anyway. most of the spacer kits you can get dont mention anything about mods to get the rotors to fit, what does it entail and why would 40 rotors be any easier?

40s rotors are the same as late model hilux (vented(thicker) its more common to get 40s rotors in the states than here.just remember to get the right calipers
