my troopy has the spare wheel underneath, and no second factory tank. *&%%%#%!!!!
instead of paying 900 buck for the supply cost only of a long range tank, i was going to retrofit a factory tank underneath. i would have to cut the existing spare tyre subframe off and grind it flat, then take a subframe off a cruiser that had a tank and weld brackets and gussets to it so i could bolt it to the chassis. if i do it this way and don't weld it to the frame, does that mean i wont have to have it engineered? (in Queenland)
better yet, has anyone tried this on any kind of vehicle and can tell me how they went?
cheers
