GQ Injection Pump Q

Why the f$%^ is the a slight leak around the top of the injection pump.
Is this a common occurance and how do you fix it?

Its a 91 shorty.

If the seals are gone, is it a take it for a rebuild job or can the seals be replaced by a reasonably competant DIY bloke at home?

It will be the seal on the throttle shaft, and it is a easy fix if your pretty competant, you will need to get 2 seal, the shaft one and the top plate seal, any diesel service center can supply them,


you will need the numbers of your pump, they are on the side of it

And Alec if you do it yourself it will cost you about $12 in parts. Thats about how much it cost me. But I got a mate whos a mechanic to fit so it cost me a slab of beer also.
