No i do not want to go 15*8's because i will never need to run over 10.5 tyres and my current tyres are to narrow for 15*8's.
So i need 15*7's with heaps of offset so that my narrow track sierra can flex to it's full potention currently the rear tires are going flat up against the wheel wells and my front tyres and going flat against the shock towers. It would be able to travel alot more if it cleared this stuff.
So what brands or cars or whatever am i looking for , i would like to buy them new or very good condition seconds hand so what are my options.

Why I have massively offset 15 x 7 rims that put my wheel track wider than a wide track and have never had problems with my wheel bearings. Steering is a bit harder but stabilty was greatly improved

There is a WW2 ferrit scout car out the front of my local Aussie disposals store and it has had the same wheel bearings for 60 years, they just don't wear out blam blam.

Now let me think Way back in 2003 you came along for a day of adventure tour, and if my memory serves me well, you had to go back to Steves and replace your front wheel bearings as they were beyond adjustment, and on the verge of collapse!
and if my memory serves me yet again, some 10 monthes earlier on the way to Michelles homestead the Suzy club convoy was pulled up on the side of the road fixing your front wheel bearings.
I have never seen your car in the bush with wide track diffs (or on the street for that mater)

ahh that one, I was more concerned with the self detonating series 1 rockhopper. Ok those are the two instances in 7years of wheeling thhat the wheel bearings have caused a problem. Not bad for no maintenance, lots of mud and offset rims. if I had serviced them reguratly then both of those occasions would have been missed.
As to not going wheeling with me with the wide tracks , join thhe club neither have I other than about an hour with Mock

I've been using offset rims for a few years, and obviously it must put more stress on bearings, but I haven't had to change them anymore than I did prior to running offset rims. It's mud that kills em, and the rears aren't adjustable, so get thrown out more often.
my present set of 15x8's are flipped and moved to be 65mm extra trach each wheel. I would suggest less than 50mm or you run into fitting issues. My first set of offsets were suzuki standard rims offset by 30mm, they were no problem.
(I am off to change a front bearing now, as it died, it was a 2nd hand one I threw in for Adventure Tour the year before last..it lasted well )

i am not looking for huge offset just looking for enough to clear the inside of my wheel wels and the shock towers in the front so prob;y about 30mm offset i'm not sure hot much, it is a narrow track.

mine is a narrow track, 30mm on standard 5.5" zook rims, with 30"s on fitted excellent, solved those same probs that you have. When you cross it up, with fronts turned etc, you should be able to werk out best offset for you..

Hi,I currently have ROH 15x7's / 30x9.5 on my '87 NT.
Can these rims be flipped and rewelded with greater offset?
Is there anyone in Melbourne/eastern burbs that is recommended for offset mod/increase offset?
How much should it cost?
