the only thing soft here is you Pete. I never thought I'd hear the words "I need a soft top for the weekend" coming from you. You've changed.

If you want something made the way you want it, rather than off the shelf, I have always had good quality and service from Southern Cross Canvass/Campers in Canterbury Rd Bayswater.
They have done most of my Moke stuff, and Zook stuff for years.
Torneaux covers, rooves, doors and repairs...Cash always got me a good deal, though I don't know if that is still on.

I was thinking the same.
I think he got the idea from the evolution zuk thread!

$580 seems bloody expensive. From meory I thought they cost around $350.

I thought more people would get custom ones made up. If a had a soft top I would definately be looking at green canvas. JMO

I imported a BESTOP air freight from RRO in the US for around $400 including import duty (15%) and GST. It took about 2 weeks. There were a number of companys that would do it around that price.

just to back up what i sell..

austops come with a marine grade material.. so they wont rot or stretch.
all seams are welded.
they come in many different colours and have tinted windows as std.

i think you need to call suzuki again about the soft top... i can even buy em for that...

bestops are made good but they still use shitty materials...

Thanks for that, could you please PM me with a price of a black vinyl soft top with non tinted windows please.

just a few points, I am more concerned about the top shrinking than stretching, as it is only on for short times, it sits in the shed on a shelf for most of the year and when I get it out I want it to go straight on, not the usuall hot water/heater/heat lamp tug of war that it normaly is :bad-words:
and I agree with you about the best top material, it looks good when it is clean and new, but the grain in the fabric catches all the filth and if a bit dirty looks like shit.
Do you think I have been misquoted by Suzuki?

i didn't get any idea's from that thread i just saw car ramps in the shed and went hmmm..

and the neighbours pretend they are not looking it's funny

and i bought that soft top because i beleive it going to last, i prefer the design over the best top one it is way better materials than standard, windows and everything and it looks good and does not even flap when i am doing 100 on the highway.
