***YN130 4Runner Ball Joint - HELP!!!***

Post by luxbloke »

Hey Lads,

Went out with the boys on the weekend to Ormeau... AWESOME trip until about 3pm when we went to leave and my front left wheel came off leaving the 4Runner to grind o a stop on the LH Lower Ball Joint Thread.

My biggest problem atm, is getting the F*%ing old one out... Because the thread and half the nut was ground down thanks to the bitchument, I've had to grind the old nut off and try and bash the old ball joint out, But with no luck,

My question is this:

Is there any easy thing to do with this one or do I just keep smashing it with the hammer until it decides to release???

Any help greatly appreciated lads - I need to get her back on the road!

Cheers
Matty

Place a heavy hammer against one side of eye where ball joint stud is and give the other side a good sharp whack with another heavy hammer while applying pressure between eye and control arm.
