Shift Bush

Hey,

ANyone know where i can get a shift bush for underneath the transfer lever for a 1987 sierra 1.3L

I have tried genuine suzuki, Repco (suzuki told me to try there), coventrys, and many other places

Do i reall yneed this part? it still all works except it gets jammed in 4Low

Yes you do need it.

Try suzuki again. there lying. Its called a shifter sheet or transfer bush.

get a spare and put it in the tool box ;) they tend to go when you're actually using 4wd.... ie bum&$*# nowhere :D

Hey how do i install it? do i just drop it below the transfer lever?

you put it in on a angle so that it drops below one of the retaining pins.

then you just lever it over the other retianing pin and push it down.

hrm have taken transfer case apart many times and havent seen the pins.. are they just below the ball of the transfer stick??

I'll never understand. My dad helped me with fixing my TC and he put a metal washer type thing. It only acts as a spacer, and being metal it's better than the proper ones you buy cause it ain't gonna come apart.
