you'll find heaps of opinions about springs, like tyres. My word of advice is that if you change from standard and your cars still under warrantee be careful, Nissan wont wanna know about the rear spring towers breaking, known prob. Get em strengthened, if you wanna play hard.

I have found Kings very good, and reasonably priced.

There is a guy on here (4WDSTUFF) who seems to sell them at a reasonable price, and is located in Brisbane (Logan I think).

Send him a PM for a price.

There are only 3 places that manufacture coil springs in OZ. These are kings, lovells and dobinsons. All are good springs although my dobinsons have not saged as much as my kings did.

dobinson HD's 3 years old and only sagged 20mm and that was on a GU to the cape and back..

then i bought that set and put it on my GQ with a 30mm spacer in front to compensate for my steel bar and winch...

and still went well ;)

BS.

There are many more - these are just the popular ones.
Dobinson seem quite good from what I've seen.

Toughnut is mainly correct, there are 3 major coil spring makers and heaps of companies rebadging these 3 as their own, and there are a few others that manufacture their own but I don't know who they are. It would make and interesting post.

Springs are $150 a pair (normally Lovells but can do kings and Dobinsons) delivered to your door. If you are looking for Extra heavy duty the the rears are $160 for the pair delivered.
Dobinsons Shocks $95 each delivered
Oztech shocks $105 each delivered (limited time)(Lifetime warranty)
Procomp shocks $125 deivered

I would love to help in any way I can

I was in Dobinsons today in Rockhampton where they make all their springs. The shocks are made in a factory in Europe but are made under the Dobinson name. I don't have any more info than that. You can call Jim in the sales department on 07 4927 7444. It would be nice if you mentioned my name as well  . :D

Not that I am aware of. For the shocks anyway. I thought they were made in South Africa
Lovells shocks are identical to EFS except for badge. I can get you these to for $95 each delivered.

To answer your below post go to dobinsonsprings.com and click stuff until you get to shockies.

Pedders have their own coil plant in Melbourne.

Dobinsons shocks are made in a little country in northern Africa next to Egypt. It starts with a T.
I have read that Old man Emu were rebadged monroe shocks, but it could just be a rumour.

Dobinsons are NOT restickered OME's (springs or shocks!)

OME shocks are made by Monroe to OME specifications and are not the same as monroe's.

Dobinsons shocks are imported from Europe (from Jim the sales managers mouth). They are not rebadged anything. However they are made in a factory where other leading European brand shocks are made.

Ok Ok rebadged is a little harsh. I withdraw my previous statement but I will add another.

Tunisia is where Dobinsons shocks are made and that is where Luke Skywalker use to live when he was a kid. He used Dobinsons shocks on his little racer. Tunisia is in between Algeria and Libya on the north of Africa. I think these people are french. Could be another rumour though. I'd bet they are European engineered and owned.

If it`s a French company who makes them it could well be Arvin Meritor.

I don't know whether they are French or not but I did a Google search and found at least 1 shock manufacturer in Tunisia. This companies name is Selekta International. I don't know if this is the company that makes them or not. I found another search result with a different phone number. It was called Sia. But looking at the initials it could be the same company.
