Are you saying you bought them new from a dealer 6 months ago and have only used them for 8 weeks and they blew up
did the dealer fit them?
was the t/case refreshed (bearings and seals) at the same time?
discribe your vehicle?
what type of terain?
I know what mine has gone through in the last 2 or 3 years and I would be pissed if it only lasted 8 weeks.

I was being sycastic mud4b.

It's good to hear Liam is looking into it, It shouldn't be a huge problem as it's only high range which isn't under as much stress.

Lets hope it's just like bazooked mentioned and it is a heating treatment issue.

I hate to say it but this is the reason that I bought the 5.12 diffs from Mark instead of going S3's there just seems to be too any failures at the moment to have $1200-1300 going down the drain. If I need more reduction I can always go the 1lt transfer or some Calmini gears. On a side not I also have a transfer case with a smashed set of S1's sitting in my shed

I have just gone to calmini 5.14's too, after smashing a set of series 1 gears. I had my s1 a fair while, and in the end a roller from the cluster shaft dropped out, causeing my gears to smash.
