Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series 1990 4.2 diesel, 5 speed Wagon, alloy bull-bar, side steps, just traded fantastic value $9990, VBS-354. LVD2883, Cathedral Motor Company, 99 North East Road COLLINSWOOD 08-8344 2044 anytime.

What do you guys think i should look out for? i might go an have a look at it next week sometime, maybe saturday. Probably high Kms, but what is too high on a 4.2 diesel?

i dont think its that cheap really if it has a heap of k's

redbook lists a national average price of $9300 - $12400

and a tradein price of $7800 - $9700

so yeh, might be a little cheap, but might cost you more in the long run if it is high k's (400)

Well I paid top price for my 80 with only 100 000ks and in perfect condition.

If I had my way again I would have got a stock cheap one high k's but good body.

This is because u will probably as i did be replacing most of whats on the car anyway, suspension, bulbars rearbars.
Also with the extra money you could go a v8 deisel, something I would like to do but won't as the motor in it now is in too good condition and half the reason I paid extra. :?
Thats the way I would go doing it again.

its not just the engine that wears with k's tho

gearbox will be shagged with high k's

normally the interior is "used" and the dents normally come with k's not age.

a cheap 80 would be good if you wanted a 4wd machine! but if you want a fanily car thats also a 4wd, better to pay the extra for a low k's car.
