Brake fluid light !?! :s

Brake fluid light !?! :s
Hi guys,
My brake fluid light staying on solid. Sometimes it goes back off if I hit a bump and then stays off for a while, sometimes it comes on as soon as I start the car and other times it just comes on all of a sudden, but then stays on.
I've checked the fluid level - OK
The brakes are working fine aswell
Is there a dodgy sensor/wiring ? or is there something wrong ?

Could be a ABS Sensor, Could be a short in the wiring.... could be a fault in the brake master cylinder. Hmm hate to say i fella but better take it down to your mittsy dealer and get the diag box plugged in, it will tell you where the problem lies...... They'll prolly charge about 20 to 40 bucks for the exercise and you can pick the repairer after that

Well guys, I thought I had it fixed. I pushed the float down, wiggled the wires and all was good. The light didn't come on all weekend while wheeling. Then I went out last night and this happened http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... hp?t=46375
Light comes on for real now

Ok sounds like your initial problem was a sticky float = easy fix.
With regards to your other problem I split a front brakeline once before and lost all my brakes on one particular trip - scared the crappers out of me I can tell you.
I always carry spare brake fluid and 2 line clamps (you can buy these for $10 at Autobahn). I had to clamp the broken line and then refill with fluid and then limped home, not fun with brakes on only one front wheel
I got both front brakes lines replaced but I got him to make them 1" longer than standard.
I think when you crank the torsion bars you have much more up travel so the front brake hoses are under more stress and eventually fail (thats what happened in my case).

I just luv my "clacker Jabber"
I had this same problem after loosing it around a round-about and mounting the gutter , The light sometimes comes on when you start the car (the time between the startermotor being engaged and the engine actually starting).
After the spin- the light stayed on for like three days, but i checked the fluid level and all was good.
Ive lived with the problem for about a year now and nothing has gone wrong.
Just hope i didnt ginx myself though.
cheers
