Engine knock

Post by Josh n Kat »

Ok i know it sounds like a terminal engine thing but was wondering if anyone had encountered TB42 engine with low oil pressure and knocking/ sorta grinding  noise from the bottom end of the motor only when the engine is warm and only when parked down hill.....

The knock is very destinct to a big end knock but they usually carry on knocking away as the rev's rise but this dont.... Was thinking maybe excessive crank end float but there doesnt seem to be an excessive amount and my other thought was the camshaft bearings being worn too.

Any other opinions would be tops

yes that is true it could be loose....

originally it was over full and so i thought that it was just the crank splashing in the oil but unfortunatly that wasnt the case...
