GQ Rear Bar

Post by LOCKEE »

Bundyrum 4x4 has almost finished my rear bar on the Datsun.

Some quotes while making it.
I love box.
Very Bling.
Looks good on the straight side.
Do you want to paint it Chromebrite to match up your panel repairs.
It's only Locky's car don't worry.

Photos to follow for your perusal, comments and shooting down in flames.

Looks like it has the std towbar still mounted tothe unerside of the chassi. With a towhook bolted thru those 4 bolts on the rear of the chassi. Or just thru the fancy new bumper.

Oh and next time you do pictures, can you turn the light on so we can have a good look. Greg you should be at work now, how about some better pics.

Yep at work now, but the car isn't. These pics were taken LATE last night.

Will get some better ones later today.

The tow hook bolts into the original chasis bolts.

This bar had a lot of ideas from Greg and Myself.

The tow point is recessesd into the main bar and spacer between the bar and the chassis.

I am very happy and would of had a lot less panel damage if this had been fitted earlier. :)

On the third pic, it looks like the bar wraps around the side and then goes back to the chassis.
Is this correct? Does the bar mount to the chassis here aswell?
