Photos to come shortly. I was wrapped with overall 4th position. We drew 1st cab of the rank for the 1st and 2nd tracks and didn't do to bad at all. Started the 3rd track in 7th position and after a good run managed to place 2nd on that track and an overall 4th position. Also picked up best rookie award so both Ian (navi) and I are very happy. Pics will be up soon.
Cheers

I thought you had an excellent weekend Linc, good driving and a real sh*tter of a draw to start your comp driving! Did you get through track 3 unscathed or did you collect the roof like most others??

Thanks Steve. Mate may as well say unscathed. The LHS gutter (drip rail) copped if but that is all fixed and a large dent in the passengers door that will push out buy hand.

Chris things weren't that bad at all considering it was a 7 week build and the mods that were required.

Great weekend
Cheers

Don't think so this time Antt for the trophy class, either our vehicles, driving or BODIES let us down. (As I Type with only my left hand)

glad the weekend is over :D

now i know what its like on the other side of the fence and it makes me appreciate all the work that goes into organising these events.
All the volunteers marshalls and helpers do a hell of a lot more than i ever thought and don't get much thanks for it.
good on ya guys and gals !!!

I thought i had put some sections into the tracks that would stop 90% of drivers ... but everyone just stepped up to the mark and most drove it all
Hows Big GQ's luck copping first up through the saturday tracks ... :D ... did really well with some good teamwork and results.
Jeff and Will in the white GQ wagon did great and deserved their first overall win ... well done.

We had a good drive on track one but i nudged a cone on a three point turn then took out the 900 cone when we launched over the rock instead of around it due to great traction from the kreepys ... came 10th i think.

Had a brilliant drive on track two but copped a twenty point penalty because i started without my helmet on  came third .

track three ...i had the helmet on 20 minutes before it started :D but the bullbar touched the score sign sticking out of a cone as we were about to reverse so i think we came eighth.

ended up fifth overall .... damn cones

My beadlock on the front left tried to jump ship on the way home and i must say the kreepys made it pretty safe.
All i heard was a swoosh as the air made an exit and i slowly pulled up as i thought i had done a tyre on the trailer as it was still steering straight ... was a bit surprised to see the front left tyre flat when i got out.
thanks to everyone who stopped and gave me a hand

Thanks to all for organising the event, definitly good fun, will be there again, though this time we'll read the rule book and leave the 34's at home. (trophy class, 33in Limit) :)

Thanks also to the fellas in the Red patrol with the white stripe who stopped to see if we were alright after we lost our left front wheel on our comp rig doing 100 klicks out of kilcoy. lost half of the brake rotor but no other damage, so everythings good.

Cheers for a good weekend,

Ben

No need to thank us mate, it's just what we do to stick together - it's starting to look like the action continued for a few on the way home, we stopped to check on 3 different vehicles!

Thank's Steve. We drove the Hi-lux down the range,
so we were putting it on the trailer when you asked
if we were ok.
