I had both on my roll bar at the same time and found the XGT to have a better mounting system for my application as well as a whiter light. The blitz is able to be focused like a torch. I chose the XGT's over the Blitz when it came to keeping only 1 set on the light bar.

Yeah that right but the bulbs in mine were differnent to the blitz that I already had for some reason. My blitz were 18 months old when I put the XGT's on the same bar. The casings are better on the XGT's as they are already waterproof and a plug in the back of them. A little more user friendly than the blitz. It mainly depends wher you are mounting them and which one fits better. They use the same reflectors and same bulbs just a different outer casing.

There is a range of globes available for the blitz and xgt - different wattage, volts and vertical or horizontal filament. No difference in output between blitz and xgt with the same globe.
The housing for the xgt looks better, but is more bulky than the blitz, which hugs the reflector more closely. The xgt housing was originally made for the hid, which needed more space inside for the hid ballast/electrics.
On my bull bar the xgt housing fouls the top bar and can't fit, but the blitz fits fine.

The combo covers are awsome. It only cuts down the spot beam marginally but the spread is more than a good trade off.

How do you guys go fitting the XGTs to an ARB GQ bar?
I've had to fit only one spacer and the top of the light still hits the top bar. Might have to turn the light mount around but this will mean the light will stick out further than the bar uprights.

Weekdays - Prado GXL D4D with some stuff
Weekends - Mav shorty with lots of stuff

I had the blitz on my GU ARB bar and they stuck out just in front of the top crossbar. No problems though.

You can mount them upside down as well if that makes them fit better. ie. you can hang them from antennae mounts on the top cross bar.
