Transfer case compatability

Can anyone tell me if a transfer case from a 60s four speed is able to be used behind a 75s 5speed box without mods to anything both are split case types but after that I know nothing :roll: .

all diferent in the size of the intermediate shaft and the front cover has one less bolt to bolt to the 5 speed...

just been out tree planting with other hiluxes and pajero and in 10 days had to pull 15 vehicles out of bog but have now twisted my transfer case so broke or snapped bolts or mounting have to look tommorow :( but nothing else came close to me for in the mud :)

any ideas?
