does the vit Gbox have a shifter bush for the lever?

Post by SiKiD_01 »

i hear a lot of sierra transfers stuck in nuetral or in 4wd, and its because of the shifter bush.

i have my vit gbox out on the floor, and cant get the lever to go into 2nd, 4th, and reverse. i also have half of a O ring or something that com out with the shifter, and i think the other half has dropped in, if its still in tact.

could it be because theres no oil in the Gbox, and that gears, are not meshing or sliding in properly?

and what kind of gasket goo do i use if i take the shifter section out? does it need to be heat proof or not?

thanks
Steve
