Those of you out there who have done it, can you post up some pics of the conversion step by step preferred.
I am trying to workout the dramas ahead of time and i think the geometry of it all will be the biggest worry.
Running a 2F, for those that have done it themselves, if i use a 60 series column and all 60s gear, what mods did you make to the column to make it all fit???
cheers
or if you prefer to email pics/tips
Antwonoz@hotmail.com is me cheers.

Hey there DRS,
Don't know how far in you are to your conversion but for mine;
Bought a Pump to fit my existing motor (307 chev)
Bought a Hilux Box that looks Identical (if I knew the model I would tell you, bought it off a wrecker over the phone in ACT)
Bolted new box in (no hot work), got a 20mm spacer made up for the crush tube, bolted crush tube up.
Piped pump - box
Turned key
The most time was wasted
a) trying to get pitman arm off
b) getting hoses changed over after guessing plumbing wrong.
Thought I would tease you with an option that I don't have all the info on.

Something witty said by someone famous
the best steering column to use is one out of a 55 series cruiser which can be a drama just finding one as they are rare as...
not sure how a sixty series column will bolt up to the body work but at the end of these columns near the firewall end is a uni joint.
How I did mine before I found a 55 column ,I made an adapter to bolt on to the flexible coupling(40 series column) then supported it of the chassis(as I removed the original steering box cast mounting) with a bearing setup or if you leave that on could fabricate a bracket of it...bit hard to explain but if you have welding and fabbing knowledge anything can be made with a bit of perserverance....
