What length shocks in the rear?

Post by DanielS »

Thought i would throw this to you guys for abit of help,
just lifted my GQ 5inchs and at the moment have Rancho Relaxos in the rear, was hoping to get some feed back on what shocks are giving reasonable service life and good response.
Also what lengths i would be looking at for good travel?

any feed back will be great. :)

I lifted mine 4 inches (although it came up about 5")

I used OME L series all round with Dobinsons springs. it all seem fine so far!

Go Pro comps. You are looking for enough length so that your springs wont pop out champ. To much length and you lose to much up travel.

Yeah Jim said that he'd been able to convince the boss to get longer shocks for nissans. You could always lift the lower rear shock mounts. Really easy to do and gets them out of the way of rocks etc as well :D

The weakest part of my truck was my navi :finger: bakesy :D He tore some ligaments in his right ankle on one of the night nav stages and he couldn't even jump in the drivers seat. I couldn't even find someone else I could trust to take his spot. At least we didn't come last. We were doing fairly well cause we still beat people that dropped out 2-3 days after us.
