1997 Rodeo dualcab styleside 4ZE1 4x4 info
Hi guys,
I am filling out a form for bodylift approval in Qld.
I cannot find my owners manual which I know contains this info so I was hoping someone could fill me in.
I need:
Tare weight (approx 1600kg)?
RGCM (combination mass)?
Exact engine capacity (approx 2600cc)?
I have the RGVM (laden mass) from the compliance plate of 2740kg.
As the title says this is specific to the 1997 (new shape) dual cab with the 4ZE1 engine.
Thanks guys.

I thought the engine size would be on a plate somewhere but all I could find was the engine number. I could find three plates in total
Compliance plate on firewall
Build plate on firewall
Engine number plate on the panel above the headlights.
I'll have another look in the morning.
As for the rest of the info Monday would be great.
Thanks for your help.

Whoo hooo.. I'm next.
As soon as I get my truck out of the panel beaters... a month to get hail damage fixed is going to kill me.
Issue though, in the general forum there was a thread going re NSW restrictions about to come into place on changes to the law on max body lift that can be done.
Utemad... keep us informed as to how it goes, send us pic if available.
Cheers

I have the blocks all drilled and ready to go. Now all I need is to remove the bolts and take them down to the bolt shop for some longer ones. Although I tried to remove them yesterday and they decided that they are happy where they are
Will have to get some serious leverage onto them later.

Bugger,
This is what I am concerned about. My truck was an ex mines vehicle and living in coal dust, every bloody bolt that I have had to remove in the past has been trouble.
The truck is in the pannel beater at the moment getting hail damage fixed and they had to remove the rear tray... so at least I have ..what ..4 of the bolts already freed up!
Cheers

Hey,
Just picked up my truck from the panel beaters an hour ago and they cursed something fearce about getting the bolts undone..... but... they got them off.
So... based on the info below I only have to persuade 12 bolts around the cab of to get my body lift underway. Had a quick look at them this evening (didn't have the truck for a month) and they look pretty clogged up.
What do you guys recommend.. a good spray with WD40 before snapping them off due to being seized?
Cheers

(with the Rodeo with not a single dent... they even fixed the ones I caused.. bargin!!)

Howzit going with the body lift?? If you have done it what did you do for the tray bolts. Rear bolts are 12 mm but there is only a poofteenth of an inch clearence in the space that they go on the tray... I am stumped how 5mm longer 12 mm bolts will fit in?
I hopefully will be picking up my blocks this week. Any tricks that I need to know??
Cheers

Hi,
Haven't touched it yet as I went snow boarding at Perisher and my work F250 broke down on the way from Canberra to Sydney on the way home. So I am stuck in Sydney at the moment.
As for the bolts perhaps we could fit the bolts upside down? Can't really remember what it looks like at the moment.
Should be getting stuck into it when I get home which hopefully will be no later than Tuesday.
