The only difference appears to be the compressor (it's not in a plastic box) and the panel that holds the guages/switches is a different shape but has the same buttons and guages on it.

If you after one you can have the one thats scattered all around my shed for a 6 pack on the basis i can find it all.

it's a tiny compressor,

wouldnt' use it really for anything else, unless you had a little tank it could fill for diff locks

great for adjusting the shocks though

The new in cab kits are very different to the old ones. All the fittings are better quality and totally different. There is no big manifold thing to speak of and the overall finish just seems neater. Fittings push together like air locker fittings and are steel not plastic crap.

They also obviously cater for the 9000x series shocks with 9 settings instead of the old 5.

The compressors in these systems are useless for anything but pumping up ya shocks. They have a duty cycle of like 30 seconds before they get very hot.

I have not seen the tough dog ones in person so cannot comment.

Cheers

I think I paid $480 for the Tough Dog incab, pretty simple install. Really needed to make best use of the adjustable shock.

Doing about 80 km/hr down the baech other day, adjusted shocks on the run for immediate comfort (20-30 cm water ruts all the way)
On the way home for the beach had the setting on about 3 (front) and 2(rear) with camper. Track had large hollows and was bottoming rear out at 60km/hr. Cranked rear up to 7 and picked up speed to 80km/hr (racing a mate) and vehicle handled really well
