Depends if you are looking at 15 or 16 inch dia and what width as the 15x8 will require 50mm offset away from the hub (i think that is negative offset ....can never remember) to clear the tie rod ends on a cruiser but the 15x7's only need 35mm (and they still interfere with the tie rod boot)
the 16's may vary depending what model they came off..... take a tape measure and a 1200mm (or straight bit of timber) level if they are off the car you can measure it easily even with the tyre on ....

According to the ROH Application guide the trak 2 rim (the ones everyone has!!) are -22mm offset in a 15x8, -9mm in 15x7 or -13 in 16x8
WHen I was chosing I drew some pictures and did some maths and I'm pretty sure I came to the conclusion the the 15x8 was like having a 15x7 with an extra inch added to the outside edge and the inside edge didn't move.
I would attach the whole thing but its PDF and it won't let me. I found it on the ROH website somewhere!!

Legally you can only increase your vehicles track by 25mm, so if your patrol has zero offset wheels (I'm not sure, just using example) then you could only fit rims with a maximum of -12mm offset.
Thats what you'll hear from tyre shops anyhow.
You can get can get rims with any offset you want, eg -100mm.
The most common one getting around tho would be the 15 x 8 cruiser rim with -25mm offset.
