hey ya'll. have an RN lux with a holden 253, dual fuel gas and petrol. damm thing gets so friggin hot....
changed radiator with a 3 core radiator, installed massive thermo fans... even today i removed the BONNET and went for a bash...
still gets relatively warm. tried removing and now replaced with a new thermostat.
thing is... its fine whilst driving on road, as soon as I stop at lights or go offroad it wants to overheat.

Has this just started to happen , or its a new setup ????
some things to check -
* Try flushing your radiator and engine block.
* Try without a thermostat
* If using a thermostat what temperture thermostat are you using , try maybe a colder one.
* Is the water pump ok ?
* Is the speed of the water pump quick enough whilst idling or running at low rpm's to circulate the water through radiator, maybe the wrong pulley is being used ?
* Are you running to lean ?
* Is your timing way to advanced ?
* Has the conversion been done properly regarding that the fan is in the centre of the radiator not to high or low ?
* Have you got a fan shroud , if not get one they help a lot !!
Hope this helps.
Cheers
